Like Vertebra, Dorsal was created with the concept that a chair must function as both an ergonomic design and as a cultural artifact. Economically-minded this institutional chair is designed to provide ease of adaptability to the range of the contemporary office worker's seating positions. Employing ergonomic and orthopedic research in its automatically functioning backrest and in its overall configuration of interrelated parts, Dorsal relaxes the sitter's body. The minimal design becomes a part of the worker in motion rather than an overwhelming visible structure. The chair "disappears" during use, becoming a moving part of the worker.
